Voices from Spirit – Mother Mary – Kindness Matters
Hello my beloved souls, today I’d like to share why kindness matters. What is kindness? Kindness has many forms; from a simple smile and thank you to a clerk at the store, to helping a neighbor carry in a new couch or giving a donation to a local food bank/shelter. Kindness is a gift we give others and makes our own hearts feel loved. Kindness is needed in the world right now more then ever because kindness is something we can freely give and receive without judgement. There’s no price tag on kindness, no secret agendas, just respect and love freely given to people, animals and even yourself.
Kindness is amazing! Kindness makes us happier. When we do something kind for someone, we feel good. We feel good emotionally, because we are doing the right thing when it comes from the heart. Kindness is good for the heart. The emotional warmth generated by acts of kindness trigger an expansion of your heart helping you to give and receive more from life. Kindness reduces stress, lowers your blood pressure and releases anxiety. Giving from your heart keeps you stay young and opens your mind and soul to experiencing more of the world. Kindness is contagious. Being kind sends out a ripple – inspiring kindness in others. One act of kindness spreads to a friend, their friends, and their friend’s friends. The amazing thing is the ‘ripple’ flows not just from the person who receives a kindness, but also form those who witness something kind.
We have a common belief that it is better to give then to receive. The ethic of being generous to others or doing good works is imbedded in us and flows steadily through our world. This is particularly true during the holiday season. But remember receiving can be a kindness too. Allowing someone else to do the giving can be difficult, but a balance of giving and receiving is important. If this is something you struggle with, try looking at it from a different angle. When you allow someone to give to you, you are actually giving them a gift. You are allowing them to experience the benefits of being kind.
We are changing this world and now is the time to add more kindness. So challenge yourself this holiday season to be kind. To your boss, your family, your neighbors, your local people of need and even your local animals. Be kind my loves and allow kindness to fill your heart. All my love to you beloved!
